Overview
The East Africa region is a haven of authentic wildlife treasures. This tour gives the opportunity to witness some of the hot spots including the great wildebeest migration in the Serengeti to the spectacular bird watching in Lake Nakuru and wind-up trekking the Mountain Gorillas in Bwindi impenetrable forest. Day 1 - Kilimanjaro
Welcome to Tanzania, your safari destination. On arrival at the Kilimanjaro international airport, you will proceed to Customs for procedures and then collect your luggage. Outside you will be met by the representative and transferred to your reserved hotel.
Day 2 : Arusha City to Ngorongoro Conservation Area
After an early breakfast you will head to the Ngorongoro Crater for a full day game viewing in the Crater.
Deep within the Crater, enclosed by towering walls, numerous large mammals wander the plains, lakes and forests, dominated by enormous bull elephants, rhinos and lions. Known as ‘the eighth wonder of the world’ the Ngorongoro Crater is one of Africa’s best-known wildlife arenas.
Enjoy your picnic lunch on one of the ideally spots within the crater while taking in the rich bird life surrounding you.
Day 3: Ngorongoro to Serengeti
After breakfast drive to Serengeti National Park for game drive, the most famous of Tanzania’s National Parks with endless plain. It is most well-known for the annual migration which takes place across the great savannah plains annually in their natural route and places since the time of immemorial.
Day 4 : Serengeti National Park
Full day game drive in search of the Big Five and witness the Great wildebeest Migration.
Day 5: Serengeti National Park
Full day game drive in the wilderness plains of Serengeti
Day 6: Serengeti to Masai Mara
On arrival at Mara North airstrip, you will be met and transferred to the hotel for relaxation with a game drive
Day 7: Masai Mara
Full day game drive in Masai Mara Reserve. Explore Mara River and spot lions, cheetahs, elephants.
Day 8: Maasai Mara to Lake Nakuru National Park
Morning drive to Lake Nakuru (approx.5-6 hours)
Lake Nakuru national park is a treasure awaiting to be explored. With its wide variety of wildlife habitats and broad range of ecological diversity. It hosts over 400 species of birds, making it a bird watchers paradise.
Afternoon game drive in the park-look for rhinos, flamingos and Rothschild giraffes.
Day 9: Lake Nakuru to Nairobi
After an early breakfast head for your morning game drive. You will then be transferred to Nairobi (approx.3-4 hours) in the afternoon.
Day 10: Nairobi City Tour
After a relaxing breakfast, you will be picked for your day tour in the city.
Start the visit with Sheldrick’s Elephant Orphanage and get time to bond with the friendly elephant available at the center. Later you will be taken to the Giraffe center where you will participate in feeding these gentle animals.
Day 11: Nairobi Entebbe
Transfer to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for departure.
Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be met by our representative and transfer to the hotel, for a short brief about your Uganda Safari.
Day 12: Entebbe to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
After a leisurely breakfast depart to the airport for your local flight to Kihihi airstrip and begin your unforgettable experience. On arrival you will be met and transferred to the village for a cultural walk that will have you exploring the culture and lifestyle of the local tribes of Bakiga and Batwa.
Late afternoon you will head to your designated lodge in the park.
Day 13: Gorilla Tracking
This day will start with an early breakfast and a pre-gorilla trackng briefing to get to know about the gorilla family that you will be tracking. Set off in the forest in track of the beautiful Mountain Gorillas. The search period is un-predictable and ranges from hours to an entire day. Enroute the trekking enjoy the sightings of the primates inhabiting the forest including the red-tailed monley, black and white Colobus monkey, the grey cheeked Mangabeys and velevet monkeys. The forest is also rich in a variety of birdlife species that can be seen flying and shrieking along the route.
Day 14: Departure
Transfer to the Kihihi airstrip for your flight to Entebbe where you will connect with your international flight back.
